For the second consecutive year, Valkyrians are participating in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk. Did you know that heart disease and stroke are the #1 and #3 killers of Americans?! Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk created an environment that’s fun and rewarding for the entire family (stroller, rollerblade/skate, and bike friendly!). Your participation will help us raise even more in the fight to save lives.
This year, there are two Hampton Roads morning walks to choose from. Visit our Valkyrie team page at http://heartwalk.kintera.org/hamptonroadsva/valkyrieenterprises
On Saturday, September 21, walkers will meet at Mt. Trashmore in Virginia Beach; this team will be led by Lesley Washington.
And on Saturday, October 12, Kate Green will be leading our Peninsula effort at the Peninsula Town Center in Hampton.
Mark your calendars and join a team; be sure to bring your family and friends, too! We hope to see you there!
If you are unable to make either of the walks but would like to make a donation, please visit our Valkyrie team page.
