Virginia Beach, Va., August 29, 2025 – Valkyrie Enterprises, LLC, a preeminent provider of advanced engineering services and technology solutions, has acquired Optical Sciences Corporation (OSC), a world leader in precision electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) scene projector and test systems supporting missile defense, space sensor development, and advanced aviation applications.
Based in Huntsville, Alabama, OSC strengthens Valkyrie’s position as a leading hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) test and simulation provider across the Department of Defense and will be instrumental in supporting Golden Dome, Next Generation Interceptor, and Conventional Prompt Strike, among other key programs.
Valkyrie President & CEO Dave Street commented, “OSC’s proprietary technology with Valkyrie’s current capabilities brings our customers a single source for a leading, more robust, integrated, and low-risk test and simulation capability for advanced weapon systems.”
OSC President Brett Beasley said, “We are excited to be a part of the Valkyrie team. This partnership presents a tremendous opportunity to broaden the scope of our solutions and customer base by accelerating new investment while continuing to provide exceptional service and value.”
“The increasing complexity of advanced EO/IR sensor systems – including seekers, space-based sensors, and missile interceptors – is driving demand for high-performance projector systems for test and evaluation. Valkyrie’s acquisition of OSC strategically positions the Company as the industry leader to address this market and aligns with our broader Valkyrie strategy to develop highly differentiated products that allow us to better serve our clients,” said DC Capital Partners Founder and Managing Partner Tom Campbell.
OSC will be integrated into Valkyrie Enterprises’ current Huntsville-based operation. Brett Beasley will continue to lead the OSC division, and Valkyrie Vice President of Army and Joint Programs Jim Buford, a longtime HWIL subject matter expert, will oversee OSC and its integration with Valkyrie. “While Valkyrie and OSC have partnered together for many years, this combination will improve the integration of Valkyrie’s HWIL motion table and scene projector capabilities in order to enhance our position as a top-tier modeling and simulation test provider,” said Jim Buford.
Jack Goldstein, Principal at DC Capital Partners, added, “As part of Valkyrie, OSC will invest in expanded production capacity to meet customer demand and accelerate the rollout of its next-generation scene projector. Although OSC projectors have been sold to government labs across the country, engineering and lab support from OSC was historically limited to local Alabama labs. With Valkyrie’s nationwide presence, OSC can now deliver that same high-touch lab support across the U.S., strengthening service to our clients and their missions.”
