VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., February 27, 2023 – Valkyrie Enterprise, LLC wins $13 million contract award from the U.S. Navy’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Voyage Repair Team. Under the contract, Valkyrie will provide logistics support, technical failure diagnoses and maintenance for EOD Group Two small boats, civil engineering support equipment, and material handling equipment.
“We have supported the U.S. Navy’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Voyage Repair Team for over five years, conducting routine maintenance in the U.S. and short notice, emergent repairs outside of the continental U.S.,” said Dave Streett, President, and Chief Executive Officer. “Our ability to support on short notice kept these warfighters in the fight and enabled them to complete their mission.”
This is Valkyrie’s second award with EOD, a critical part of the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) that clears explosive hazards and underwater obstacles to provide access to denied areas; secures the undersea domain for complete freedom of maneuver; builds and fosters relationships with a constellation of capable and trusted partners; and protects the homeland and American way of life. Most recently, EOD Group 2 boats and equipment were utilized in the recovery of a foreign surveillance balloon.
