Stephen Williamson, former Naval Sea Systems Command Deputy Commander for Industrial Operations

Virginia Beach, Va., May 17, 2024 – Valkyrie Enterprises, LLC, an engineering, technology, and operational solutions company, announces the hiring of former Naval Sea Systems Command Deputy Commander for Industrial Operations Steve Williamson as the Vice President of Valkyrie Enterprises- Ship 2 Shore (S2S). 


As a 31-year Navy veteran, Williamson spent his career focused on repairing, maintaining, and modernizing ships.  He brings a long and connected history to Naval operations and a drive to do what’s best for customers.  These attributes enhance the current Valkyrie Enterprises Sustainment & Modernization business area into a new and exciting phase.

Williamson started his service as a surface warfare officer and transitioned into an Engineering Duty Office.  He had project manager tours at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Officer-in-Charge in Sasebo, Japan, and Command of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. He was the Flag Officer overseeing industrial operations at Norfolk, Portsmouth, Puget Sound, and Pearl Harbor Naval shipyards. 


Williamson is a Project Management Professional with a Green Belt certification, graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a bachelor's degree in economics, and earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Naval Post Graduate School.
