Valkyrie Enterprises hires retired Navy Captain Stephen Sarar to lead Business Development for Readiness & Sustainment operations

Readiness & Sustainment Business Development Manager Stephen Sarar

Virginia Beach, Va., May 14, 2024 – Valkyrie Enterprises, LLC, an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, announces the hiring of retired U.S. Navy Captain Stephen Sarar as its new Business Development Manager for the Readiness & Sustainment operations.  Sarar will oversee the acquisition process and strategic business opportunities within the Department of Defense (DoD) industry.

As the Business Development Manager, Sarar will identify request for proposal opportunities, manage the capture process, and complete competitive analysis by applying his experience and contacts with the DoD to expand the company’s portfolio and grow its operational pipeline. 

Sarar recently retired from the U.S. Navy with the rank of captain after serving multiple engineering duty tours.  He was most recently a Chief of Staff at Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center, and was the fifth Commanding Officer of Surface Maintenance Engineering Planning Program.  His personal decorations include the Legion of Merit with three gold stars, the Meritorious Service Medal with a gold star, a Navy Commendation Medal with a gold star, and the Navy Achievement Medal with two gold stars.

Sarar will report directly to Delgado.

Beyond his military experience, Sarar earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and two Master’s degrees.  He gained a Master's in engineering management from Old Dominion University and another in electrical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
