Valkyrie Enterprises hires Jason DeHart as Communications Director
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, March 29, 2024 -
Valkyrie Enterprises, LLC, an engineering, technology, and operational solutions company is pleased to announce the addition of Jason DeHart as its new Communications Director. Jason will oversee and support all Valkyrie internal and external communication efforts.
“We’re excited for Jason to lead and develop communication strategies and operations to increase customer and employee awareness about our capabilities and culture,” said Dave Streett, Valkyrie’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Jason comes to Valkyrie from Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL), one of 17 Department of Energy national laboratories. He supported SRNL’s Global Security Directorate communication efforts by creating customer-facing and internal content, developed a content strategy to support a growing culture, and worked with other SRNL operations to support mission spaces.
Before SRNL, Jason was the Public Information Officer for one of Georgia’s largest emergency services departments, the Augusta Fire Department and Emergency Management Agency. Jason played a critical role in the city’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tropical Storm Ida, and other emergencies.
He also brings journalistic instincts and experience as he was a news producer for a CBS affiliate in Rochester, NY, and an NBC affiliate in West Palm Beach, FL.
He has covered national headline stories such as the Parkland School Shooting, Hurricane Irma, the Florida International University Bridge Collapse, and elections.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, a Minor in English, and a Certificate in Journalism from the University at Buffalo.
