Most EOIR HWILs rely on simple point sources and single temperature flood background projection scenes but only test functional aspects and not a real-world performance.  However, Valkyrie develops and produces the MAPS dynamic scene projector to exercise these optical systems by projecting 2D EOIR complex scenes of threats and backgrounds in large frame size formats, high speed frame rates and high temperature scene content as seen on test ranges and battlefields.  MAPS serves as the “game-changing”  component for HWILs.
