Valkyrie Enterprises continues to invest in its Warriors by offering a comprehensive learning and development program to equip employees with the knowledge and tools necessary to manage government contracts, drive program success, and lead high-performing teams.
Forty-six Warriors spent 11 weeks participating in the Program Manager Development Series, learning about Costpoint features, contract details, human resources, and business development functions.
Senior leadership from Finance, Human Resources, Contracts, Proposals, and Business Development provided insights into the key elements and technology used to identify a business opportunity, submit a proposal to capture it, manage a contract upon award, and the financial steps required to maximize revenue.
Learning & Development Manager Jo Murphy reports that all the participating Warriors were highly engaged and presented thoughtful questions. She also indicated participants were clearly identifying the importance of their role in bridging operational processes, contract knowledge, and leadership skills to drive customer and Valkyrie success.
There was even a spontaneous moment of clarity when one person stated they found an answer to their in-moment frustration with a contract clause. The real-world example sparked further discussion among the attendees and motivated them to re-examine their own contracts to find details they may have missed.
The Program Manager Development Series stands as a powerful example of Valkyrie’s three core values: integrity, inclusion, and innovation. Few companies offer this level of investment in their employees by providing such a uniquely Valkyrie-created program.
