Valkyrie Enterprises made the Hampton Roads Top Workplaces 2024 list as selected by Inside Business. Valkyrie Enterprises ranked #5 out of 54 companies in the large category and received the Best Work/Life Flexibility award.
The awards were based on the Energage survey employees took in March and April. Employee comments and ratings directly led to Valkyrie earning this award.
“Valkyrie Enterprises strives to create a family-like atmosphere and trust people to manage their schedules,” said President & CEO Dave Streett. “This award validates our company values: integrity, inclusivity, and innovation, and how we execute those values to create a flexible environment our employees appreciate.”
“Valkyrie Enterprises does its best to put our employees at the forefront of our business,” said Chief People Officer Kathleen Daniels. “We appreciate their feedback throughout this process and are committed to offering the work-life balance our Warriors look for.”
In the top five, Valkyrie Enterprises was one of three companies headquartered directly in Hampton Roads.

What I love about this reflection on ice cream is how it shows that something simple can bring comfort and motivation when life feels overwhelming. I’ve noticed the same in my own routine—treating myself to small rewards helps me stay focused during coding interview prep. It’s easy to get lost in technical challenges, but having a clear structure, like the guidance in the FrontendLead handbook, keeps the process manageable and even enjoyable. Just like ice cream adds a touch of happiness to the day, structured preparation adds balance and confidence when working toward bigger goals and career growth.
